I am truly excited to (officially) announce that NOLA Eats will be exhibiting at the Alternative Media Expo 2010 on Saturday, April 17, Noon – 6:00 pm. This is a fantastic showcase of New Orleans’ talent pool, including artists, musicians, crafters, writers, community activists, filmmakers, comic illustrators and so much more. If you need proof that New Orleans has its share of hungry, go-getting self-starters, you only need to stop here.
Come out and meet me, blogger/hostess/event coordinator of NOLA Eats, and my vegetarian correspondent, Daniele Farrisi. We’ll be presenting info on what we do, how NOLA Eats can help our event attendees & venues, and sharing information on how it is in fact possible to live in New Orleans and be a vegetarian. We will have handouts and hopefully some freebies (I’m working on that part).
Speaking of freebies, if you are one of the first 100 paid attendees through the door, you will receive a rad New Orleans Craft Mafia swag bag filled with goodies. If you’re interested in donating items to be included in the bags, you can find all the info here.
Here’s the Facebook event page for the Alternative Media Expo. If you’ll be coming out to see us, drop us a comment and then share the invite with your friends!

Way to go, Ms Leslie!

Way to go, Leslie! Great way to brand your site. I love how you take an online food community and make it real.
Thank you, Anne. That’s my main goal with NOLA Eats. I want to emphasize the social aspect of dining and get people together for a good time.
